SHARED EDUCATION

St Joseph’s are involved in the Shared Education Signature Project from September 2016.

This project compliments our established cross community links with Langfield PS, Ardstraw P.S., St Caireall’s P.S. and Castlederg High School.

The Shared Education Signature Project (SESP) encourages schools to make collaborations with schools from other sectors an integral part of school life, thereby creating enhanced educational and personal development opportunities for everyone involved.

This programme provides invaluable educational opportunities for children from P1 to P7 to explore issues such as friendship, diversity and respecting difference. It also compliments childrens’ learning in the ‘Personal Development and Mutual Understanding' area of the primary curriculum.

On a number of occasions throughout the year, children and teachers join to experience a wide range of activities. This active partnership between the two schools has enhanced the learning opportunities for all involved.
