On Wednesday 13th March, we took part in the second round of games in the Station Centre. We improved our play in lots of areas and have learned lots too from the games we played. We thank Amy from Netball NI for umpiring, Siobhan for all her work with the girls and we look forward to the next tournament in April.
On Friday, 1st March, we travelled to the Station Centre in Omagh to take part in the first round of the Northern Ireland netball league. We played games against St. Mary’s Killyclogher, Holy Family, Omagh and St. Conor’s. The competition was tough. We have learned lots and are ready to put all this into action on our next outing. Thank you to Siobhan for preparing us for this event.

Huge congratulations to our netballers on winning the Primary School Netball Competition hosted by St. Conor’s Primary School. The girls won every game they played and faced Holy Family Primary School in the final. It was a tightly fought contest with St. Joseph’s emerging victorious at the final whistle on a score of 5-4. We sincerely thank Siobhan for her coaching and passion on the netball court, helping pass on the love of a wonderful sport to a very talented group of girls.
*Thank you to Jason for all the fantastic photos!
St. Joseph’s host a primary school blitz
We invited schools from across Omagh to participate in our first tournament. Christ the King, Recarson, Holy Family and St. Conor’s all attended and gave their all.
We were runners up in our group, whilst St. Ronan’s Recarson and Holy Family made their way to the final. Holy Family emerged winners and we congratulate them on their success.
Thank you to Siobhan, for organising and umpiring the games throughout the day.
Our Primary 5, 6 &7 girls have the opportunity to attend our Netball Club after school on Wednesday afternoons from 3-4pm.
We are lucky to have the mighty Siobhan from the office coaching our girls.
They are working on shooting, catching and passing, attack and defence skills, as well as having lots of fun and keeping fit!
