Snowy Owls

Check out our snowy owls that we made from scratch!!

Soothe Me

Every Monday we welcome Lisa, a play therapist in our classroom. She delivers a soothe me sensory programme that helps children soothe, relax and self-regulate. The children are loving it! Take a look at some of the fun activities that the class have been getting up to.

Parachute fun!

Paper Mache and Cling film art fun!

We absolutely love messy art!

We are doing lots of lovely art projects as part of our topic Birds of Prey. Using cling film and paint we created backgrounds for our snowy owl paintings. We loved how the paint felt on our hands whilst keeping them clean. We are also creating paper Mache owls. Our first step was getting a balloon and layering it with newspaper and PVA glue. It was a sticky mess, but we absolutely loved it! We can’t wait for the next steps. Come back in a few weeks to see the finished products!

Odd Socks Day

Odd Socks Day marks the start of Anti-Bullying Week.

This year we are celebrating what makes us all unique and our aim this week is to spread kindness using one kind word. Check out our wonderful odd socks!

Outdoor Classroom Day 2021

Outdoor Classroom Day is a global movement to make time outdoors part of every child’s day. Today the Primary 3/4’s went outside to make hedgehog homes, which proved to be a very important task as we found a hedgehog outside! We hope that the hedgehog sleeps well in their new home!

Happy Halloween

Maths Scavenger hunt!

This week was Maths Week Ireland.

The Primary 3 and 4 class had fun taking part in a scavenger hunt. The children had to work in groups and together they had to make a list of items they might find in nature and put that information into a table. Then they had to find the items, count them and record their data using tally marks.

Pupil of the Week!

Well done to Ariya who is P3/4 pupil of the week this week.

We are so proud of you!

How to make Hot Chocolate !

Together with Miss Woods we wrote instructions for making Hot chocolate and then followed those instructions.

We discussed how it is important for instructions to have a title, be in order, have simple steps and have bossy verbs.

Tyrone Day

Today we had so much fun taking part in Tyrone Day activities, creating posters, listening to Tyrone songs and watching some clips from previous All-Ireland finals!

We also enjoyed a delicious Tyrone themed dinner. It was so yummy!

I hope everyone enjoys the match and Tyrone bring Sam back home to Tyrone!

Up Tyrone!

Place Value fun!
