We have 18 wonderful pupils in our class and we love to learn new things every day.

Primary 1 have been hunting minibeasts! We have been looking for slugs, snails, spiders, butterflies, caterpillers, spiders, ladybirds and lots more. The children have discovered some minibeasts like slugs, worms and beetles love cool, dark places. Others, like butterflies and bumble bees, love the sunshine!

This term, we have been looking after our oral health. This has included brushing our teeth in school. We read the book ‘Jim and the Beanstalk’ to learn about the dentist and how we should look after our teeth. The children will be starting the summer with super white smiles!

We went on a 3D shape hunt in the playground. We had to find cubes, cuboids, cones, spheres and cylinders in the playground. It was great fun to take our learning outside when the sun was shining!
🌞Primary 1’s Summer Picnic!🌞
As part of our ‘Here Comes the Sun’ topic, the children in P1 have been learning about Picnics and all the yummy food we might put in our picnic baskets.
We made some delicious fruit kebabs using our fine motor skills to thread lots of different fruits on to our kebab skewers. We even used our Numeracy skills to create patterns using the different fruits we had (pineapple, apples, blueberries, bananas, watermelon, strawberries and grapes). Some of our P1s were very adventurous and tried fruits they had never tasted before!
Once we had made our kebabs, we went outside, spread out our picnic blankets and enjoyed our scrumptious treats while we soaked up the sun. What a great day!
